FIELD TRIP on Wednesday 17 November:
Geosciences in the urban context of Ile-de-France
(on registration only)
- Departure from IFPEN premises, Rueil-Malmaison, travel by bus to Fontainebleau
- In Fontainebleau: visit of 3 sites, discuss the sedimentary geology of the Paris region, and the use of the natural resources (water, construction materials, land management) within a social and environmental context. We will also spend some time in the Gorges de Franchard enjoying the boulders for which this forest is famous.
The field trip is organized in collaboration with Christine Franke and her colleagues from Mines ParisTech.
